View park

Beaubassin and Fort Lawrence National Historic Sites

The view park features a picnic shelter and benches, perfectly positioned for scenic views of the Chignecto Isthmus and Cumberland Basin. Interpretive panels provide insights into the area's historical background, focusing on the impacts of the conflict between France and Britain on the Acadian and Mi’kmaq communities.

The sites are accessible throughout the year and are located near the Nova Scotia Visitor Information Centre, close to the New Brunswick border. Please note, there is no maintenance during the winter, which may impact access.
