High Flows around Washago Dams

Issued: August 21, 2020

PETERBOROUGH, ONTARIO, August 21, 2020

Parks Canada advises the public to expect higher than normal water flows around the Washago Dams.

These high flows are the result of the recent precipitation and elevated lake Simcoe levels. In the interests of safety, the public is advised to exercise extra caution on or near the water in this area.

Stay back from the water’s edge and stay well clear of the dams.
