Recreational operation of unmanned air vehicles (UAVs or Drones)

Canadian Aviation Regulations defines ‘unmanned air vehicle’ as a power driven aircraft. As such, pursuant to Section 2 of the National Parks of Canada Aircraft Access Regulations, the operation (flying) of recreational Unmanned Air Vehicles, also known as UAVs or Drones, is prohibited within Prince Albert National Park.

Operation of aircraft, including unmanned air vehicles, is prohibited except under a permit provided by the Field Unit Superintendent and such operation must be directly related to the administration of the park (Section 6, National Parks of Canada Aircraft Access Regulations).

If you see someone operating an unmanned air vehicle (UAV or Drone) please report it to Parks Canada Dispatch at 1-877-852-3100.
