Canada’s Coolest School Trip
Announcing this year’s destination!
The national contest is a collaborative program between Parks Canada, and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society that strives to promote lasting relationships between young Canadians and Canada’s treasured places.
The 2019-2020 school year marks the ninth edition of this exciting contest. This edition’s grand prize will take students on a trip to Parks Canada places in British Columbia. This school year the winning class will be headed to Kootenay National Park for an experience of a life time. They will visit Stanley Glacier, The Burgess Shale, the Radium Hot Spring and camp in Kootenay NP. Next year marks the 1ooth anniversary of Kootenay National Park. The winning class will be at these exciting Parks Canada locations the week of June 8 – 12, 2020.
The contest is open to all grade 6, 7, 8 and 9 students (grade 6 and Secondary 1,2 and 3 in Quebec) and split classes containing those levels. To enter, classes must create a video presenting a class project they took part in, that contributes to the protection and conservation of the local environment, history or culture, and that explains how it relates to Parks Canada. Contest entries will be accepted online until contest closing February 28, 2020.
Thank you to all who participated in Canada’s Coolest School Trip last year! We would also like to thank Air Canada for being a proud partner of the Canada's Coolest School Trip contest again this year.
