Experience the inner and outer extremes of Terra Nova National Park. Explore our rugged coastline at Minchin's Cove or relax by a tranquil pond on Dunphy's Island. Camp out under the stars far away from human bustle. Visit one of our back country camp sites by kayaking, canoeing, or hiking. The park maintains backcountry sites along several park trails. These campsites have minimal facilities; tent pads (to reduce trampling of the soil), bear poles (to store food so that it does not attract bears and other wildlife), and pit privies.
